Victoria’s Official Community Plan
Victoria’s new Official Community Plan (OCP) is the result of more than two years of community consultation and input. It has been shaped by more that 6,000 people representing various interest groups in the community.
The new OCP provides direction for growth and change in Victoria over the next 30 years. Council, staff, and citizens will refer to the plan for guidance on decisions such as where to locate housing and businesses, when to repair and replace aging infrastructure, and how the community will respond to climate change.
On Monday, July 30, 2012, Council gave third and final reading to the new Official Community Plan and then formally adopted it as a bylaw. An implementation strategy is now being developed to help put the plan into action.Go to Top
