Community Forum March 26 and 27
A Community Forum, attended by more than 500 people, took place at Crystal Garden March 26 and 27. Thank you to those who attended and participated in discussion about the future of Victoria.
Results of the community survey were discussed and conversations on topics central to the Official Community Plan began. Many individuals also received training to lead their own Community Circle discussions with groups of friends, colleagues or neighbours.
Friday March 26
Mark Holland and local Victoria panelists Adrian Sala, Cara Segger, Daniela Cubelic, and Franc D’Ambrosio presented a diverse range of information and perspectives, providing great context leading into the citizen-led table discussions.
Saturday March 27
Saturday included hourly presentations and discussions on topics such as local food, the economy, population growth, heritage preservation, and housing in Victoria. The Capital Regional District and BC Transit also presented information on other projects related to the Official Community Plan.
