1995 Official Community Plan
The current OCP, created in 1995, is the overarching document that guides City actions and decision making. The existing OCP contains topic based objectives and policies, a Regional Context Statement indicating how the OCP meets the Regional Growth Strategy, and guidelines for development through Development Permit Areas. This document will be the basis for the creation of a new OCP that addresses current and anticipated trends and issues.
As part of the creation of the creation of a new OCP, an analysis of the existing OCP was conducted, examining how well it addresses current topics and how well it operates on a day to day basis. The Existing OCP Analysis discussion paper can be found at this link.
