Council Direction

July 2011

On July 21, 2011, Council approved a timeline for the completion of the new Official Community Plan, which would see a proposed plan go to public hearing in early 2012.

After receiving feedback on the draft plan and engaging with more than 1,300 citizens between April and June of 2011, staff felt that more time was needed to ensure that the final plan incorporates and reflects the values of Victoria citizens. From August until the end of 2011, staff will review and incorporate feedback.

To date, the project has engaged with more than 6,000 citizens.
