Neighbourhood Planning
As part of developing the new OCP, City staff will also be renewing the City of Victoria’s Neighbourhood Planning Program. The program will determine the City’s approach to neighbourhood planning by outlining how neighbourhood-level planning is administratively structured and delivered. The renewed program will include three elements:
- An administrative structure, which will define the scope of activities addressed through the program and the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders; and outline the program’s goals and how neighbourhood-level planning will be delivered.
- A process for undertaking neighbourhood planning, which may include a template, or, alternatively, a tool box outlining community engagement approaches.
- Criteria for prioritizing neighbourhood planning initiatives.
