Framework for Plan Development (August 2010)

On September 23, 2010, Council approved in principle a framework for updating Victoria’s Official Community Plan. This framework includes a land use model with growth focussed in the downtown core and in major village centres. It also includes a set of goals and directions in different areas to guide the city as it grows over the next 30 years.  Overall, the framework provides direction to move Victoria towards becoming a more sustainable city.

The goals and directions in the OCP Framework for Plan Development were developed based on a combination of background research, public input and staff analysis. The following documents summarize the information and input that went into developing the directions for each of the topic areas addressed in the OCP Framework for Plan Development.
